Strait Feronia Deif Power Management Upgrade
Hybrid Electrical has completed the design, build, DNV approval and factory acceptance testing for a new DEIF power management on Strait Feronia. This system has been designed and built in full off-site to minimise operation downtime during the installation. The installation is scheduled to be completed in Singapore, late 2025. The system offers switchboard, semi auto and auto modes, utilising the predefined DEIF power management logic. We have also developed five operating modes for the end user, which can be triggered by a single button. The PMS automatically starts and stops sources of supply syncroness breakers and completes the required load transferring without any interaction from the end user.
The system architecture is made from three diesel generators, two shaft generators and three automatic bus ties. The system hardware includes the following DEIF products:
• Eight PPM300 controllers
• AGI 415 touch screens
• DVC550 AVR's
• Deif switchboard monitoring equipment including electronic potentiometers and meters
